People with no fixed address
A dignified existence

In our society, there are many people living in vulnerable situations, with little certainty about the future and no roof over their heads. We support organizations in the Netherlands that provide them with immediate relief and work to give them a future to look forward to.

How we see this theme
Everyone has the right to a decent and dignified existence. We don’t want anyone to be excluded from society. The organizations we support work to help people with no fixed address, such as asylum seekers, undocumented people and homeless people. They offer immediate assistance, such as shelter and medical care, and they work to achieve structural solutions to better protect this group.
Many people with no fixed address have no access to healthcare, shelter or social facilities. They live an uncertain existence, and the reduction of government support makes them increasingly vulnerable. Without support they become further isolated. Immediate aid is needed to give them a decent and dignified existence.
How we go about this
- Easily accessible assistance. Adessium supports organizations that offer easily accessible assistance to people with no fixed address, such as medical care, shelter, food and legal aid.
- Support for advocates. We help advocates who use their hands-on experience to try to achieve more humanitarian policy, for example on child rights and access to shelter.
- Long-term support. Our long-term support gives aid organizations the stability to continue their work.
- Collaboration. We promote collaboration between funds and local government to make better use of financial resources and reach more people.
