This organization works on changes in every corner of society: in government policy, in business, and in people’s behavior. Natuur & Milieu does this by collaborating with many engaged partners.

Example: chemical pesticides in agriculture

Natuur & Milieu joined forces in 2025 with supermarket chain Lidl to start a special pilot project. Their aim: to drastically reduce the use of chemical pesticides in agriculture, without affecting quality or yield. Project manager Rutger Westerhof: “For many farmers, using a chemical pesticide feels like insurance.”
