Med Sea Alliance

The Med Sea Alliance seeks to restore the Mediterranean Sea by driving policy change to protect critical marine habitats, end illegal, unreported, and unregulated fishing, and reduce the impact of destructive fishing practices.

The vision of the Med Sea Alliance: a Mediterranean Sea with a rich and resilient ecosystem, where the rules and practice of fishing support the health of the marine environment for generations to come.

Marine Protected Areas in the Mediterranean Sea provide a chance for fish, marine mammals, corals and seagrasses to return. But why are these sanctuaries essential for marine life? And how are our partner organizations working to expand them?
