Annual Report 2022 – The creativity and perseverance of our grantees
This Annual Report highlights 19 partner organizations who have shared their stories about 2022, representing a cross-section of our programs. We hope this gives you a good idea of the creativity and perseverance of our grantees.
Incredible amount of work
Several of our partner organizations that support independent journalism in the region of Ukraine have provided psychological help and equipment to local journalists. Doctors have made 20 hour-journeys by train to transport victims of war from eastern to western Ukraine. In the Netherlands, thousands of volunteers have helped refugees learn the Dutch language. The amount of work our partner organizations have put in is just incredible.
Bedrock of all positive developments
Nature was also an important focus of our efforts last year. For this Annual Report, we spoke with supporters of biodiversity in the Mediterranean Sea and partners in Brussels that advocate ambitious legislation for reducing the use of harmful chemicals. We also had an enlightening conversation with defenders of democracy, which is after all the bedrock of all positive developments in society.
